May 28th Meeting:  We will open up our meeting to all members of the church and guests.
SASS Hosts a Program on Wills.

Do you have a will?  Is your will outdated? On May 28that 7pm in the Community Room SASS will host for all the members of the church and guests a program given by the Methodist Foundation about wills. A nursery worker will be provided.  Come and bring your friends to hear this information and get these documents:

  • Planning your Legacy - A Guide to Planning Your Will and Trust
  • Personal Estate Planning Organizer
  • Georgia Advance Directive for Health Care, and
  • GA Power of Attorney from the GA Dept of Human Services.

No lawyers will be there to pressure you to go with them to make your will.

In Georgia, if you die without a will the state decides how your assets will be distributed.  You may assume that your spouse will inherit all. NOT TRUE !  If you have children the estate will be split equally between your spouse and your children with your spouse not getting less than 1/3 as an example.

In order to have enough handouts for everyone we would like to get an estimate of how many will attend. You may notify by email gibsonws@mindspring.com, phone 770-587-2074, or on the SASS page on Facebook .
