STEPHEN MINISTRY

St. Andrew UMC Marietta Stephen Ministry

Stephen Ministry is the one-to-one lay caring ministry that takes place in congregations that use the Stephen Series system.
Stephen Ministry congregations equip and empower lay caregivers – called Stephen Ministers – to provide high-quality, confidential, Christ-centered care to people who are hurting.

We are here.

Adapting to change or new conditions can be stressful. Have you, or someone you know, recently had to adjust to any of these situations: a new job, a new baby, a new boss, a new house, a separation, a grown child moving back home, a seriously ill parent, a death, a best friend who has moved? Be caring and helpful to those around you who are having to make adjustments in their lives. You can make a difference and really help by encouraging them to talk to someone. Remember that our Stephen Ministers are trained and available for listening to and helping people as they face changes in their lives.

This group meets the first Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the atrium of the Kehely building. We explore and engage in various spiritual practices such as Lectio Divina, using prayer beads, and facilitated labyrinth walks. All are welcome in this meditative space. Contact Rev. Beth for more information at beth@saumcmarietta.org
All are welcome.
